That deafening rush of air you hear is the collective exhalation of breath held by the throng of people that have been anticipating the next chapter in our riveting Hilaro-Noir, Geneva Nights. Witness the tale unfold as Blakely & Todd stumble their way into employment, in the longest running scene yet, replete with the awkward pauses and “energetic” camera style that has turned this story into an internet phenomenon. A new character enters the fray, and she brings her own curious personality to compliment, like the flavours of a fine wine, our duo of dunder-headed detectives.

Without further pomp (and very little circumstance), we present to you Geneva Nights Chapter 3.

We know its been a while since last we saw our heroes. After all this time you may require a refresher on certain subjects, such as Who These Guys Are, and What Evil Awaits Them.

Through a mysterious process I do not have the capacity to fathom, Saxon has managed to implant Geneva Nights – Chapter 1 deep within the lineup of this years Show Us Your Shorts Festival (specifically, the Saturday Night showing). I cannot say if he is still paying a hefty emotional or psychological price for this feat, or if he is, in fact, bound by an eternal pact with a certain Someone, but I will confirm that I am grateful to the upper limits such an emotion can be experienced before human sense can no longer perceive it.

So, many of you have already seen the 3 minutes and 6 seconds that have started it all. But, have you seen it at maximum size? While gently reclined in a theatre seat? Consuming snacks? Neither have I. But soon, you may.

It all goes down at The Plaza Theatre, on March 27th, which is a Saturday. Films begin playing at 4:00. I don’t know what order they appear, nor do I know if you are allowed to saunter in after the doors close. What I do know is that it will be a treat for the soul to see Saxon and I goof it up on the big screen. This very same festival graced us by showing our previous work (Last Stand), which roundly won the Audience Favorite Award. I guess there’s a market for our particular brand of bantering after all….

So, if you’ve the time to spare, please stop by, settle into one of The Plaza’s world-renowned seats (are they? Maybe not so much… Alberta-renowned, perhaps), and enjoy the show. Also, please vote. I won’t tell you to sneak extra ballots from the ticket-office, but I do expect the box to be conspicuously bursting.
